KITVEN was
conceptualized and funded by Karnataka State Industrial Investment and
Development Corporation Ltd. (KSIDC), Karnataka State Financial
Corporation (KSFC) and Small Industries Development Bank of India
(SIDBI). KSIDC and KSFC are wholly owned corporations of the State
Government of Karnataka.
SIDBI is subscribed fully by IDBI
(Industrial Development Bank of India) which was constituted by an act
of Indian Parliament as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Reserve Bank
of India. The ownership was later transferred to the Government of
India. It is a designated principal financial institution for
coordinating the working of institutions at national and state levels.
It is engaged in financing, promoting and developing industries in
India.
SIDBI's
(Small Industries Development Bank of India) charter includes
financing, promotion, development and coordination for orderly growth
of industry in the small scale sector. It is subscribed fully by the
Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI). Its board comprises of
government nominees such as Additional Secretary and Development
Commissioner, Government of India & Joint Secretary (Banking
Division), Ministry of Finance (Govt. of India).
